Is your library or literary organization looking for an expert collaborator to bring programs to life? Aside from writing, Britt has a passion for creating inclusive, welcoming spaces for all. With her background in the communications industry, she’s previously moderated public readings and panels with a focus on CanLit, lead writer groups, facilitated and trained others on empathy-led oral history interviews, facilitated book clubs and hosted open mic nights with a focus on CanLit.
She loves bringing dynamic communities together through the power of word and story. Britt’s superpower(s) in curiosity, sensing gaps in connection + active listening can creatively assist you with bolstering the back-end of planning, organization and marketing. With a proven track record of boosting group engagement and program participation — if you are dreaming up something around story and words, she’d love to collectively conspire.
Britt can also suggest federal and provincial funding opportunities to support arts and literacy initiatives for organizations and non-profits. As a member of the Writer’s Union of Canada, she has access to annual funding opportunities for organizations who’d like to invite her to lead an author or reading event, run a short workshop circle or plan a school/classroom visit for youth & teens to explore creative writing.
Plus, she can assist with proof-reading or copywriting for projects of all sizes. Want to see her past work? Just ask!
